Arsenal Back On Track

August 30, 2008 Leave a comment

Thanks God that Arsenal are back on track with a convincing 3-0 win, at last they played like the champions that they are and the fashion is which they play always. Unlike the last match which they looked out of sorts they played really well this time and played like one unit that was really great to see.

More pleasing was Van Persie scoring twice the injury prone strike is coming back into his own again and it’s a great sign not only for A. Wenger but also for over all Gunner fans and hope they continue like it throughout the season.

GO GUNNERS

Atlast My PC Is Up & Running :)

August 24, 2008 Leave a comment

Atlast I am pressing the keys of my own PC, it does not mean I did not have one earlier but due to it being not working because of its main IC burnt back in March. It took me let me see almost five and half months to go to the pc repair guys and repair it and now that I have repaired it, it’s repaired big time with an awesome 3.0 GHZ HT technology processor and a 250 GB hard drive.

Well I’m really happy for it being back to its original shape and feel kind of relaxed now because no more running after people and asking them to do my work, along with saying the most annoying word “PLEASE!”.

Arsenal Falters Again!!!

August 23, 2008 Leave a comment

The new EPL season and the same old story, Arsenal does it again this time they lose out to Fulham no offense to Fulham FC but still i think Arsenal could have done alot better rather than what the scoreline showed at the end of the day 1-0 to Fulham. The Gunners never played in tendon in the full 90 minutes of regular time and there were visible faults in the way they were playing.

Well can’t say much at the moment the season is just two days old but it’s indeed a big blow as early points mean alot on the end of season title race. So GUNNERS pull the socks while there is till time and being a dieheart Gunners Fan i would like to see them not losing more easy point like the way they did today.

ICC Champions Trophy 2008, Pakistan.

August 9, 2008 Leave a comment

The second grand limited over tournament on the ICC calendar the ICC Champions Trophy is to be held in Pakistan in September. First there were doubts over the security of the tournament as it is being held in Pakistan and then the ongoing row of teams sending their second string team to the tournament such as Australia, England, South Africa and New Zealand.

As if it was not enough now there is a new issue for the PCB to face as the Pindi Cricket Stadium is far behind the pace it needs to be completed at for the games and possibly the matches would be split over to Lahore and Karachi. This is something that was under the control of PCB and this shows the total negligence of the PCB on to this very important issue, the blame should go to the Chairman PCB and I mean it because he has destroyed the Pakistan Cricket more than anything else now the administration is also doomed.

2008 Beijing Olympics & Pakistan chances of Medals

August 7, 2008 2 comments

The 2008 Beijing Olympics have finally arrived and it’s just two days away from the inaugural ceremony that is going to be a grand party on the face of earth. Olympics the grand daddy of all sports a much followed event in the history of sports along with the Fifa World Cup would be a spectacle to watch.

An event where hundreds of athletes from different countries of the world come and gather along to make them selves proud by lifting a gold medal for their country, a hue history of great performances and great feats is also attached to the Olympics which were started in Athens, Greece.

Along like all the countries of the world Pakistan is also going to take part in it, they are to participate in different games but to be realistic there is a slender chance of a medal or one might say virtually no chance of a medal this time around for The Greens.

One of the most solid chances that we used to have been in hockey but due to the denigrating standards of the national game and cricket taking over from it as time goes by that hope is also long diminished. Boxing was another category where The Greens have excelled in the past but this time around there is no boxer that could qualify. I also read in a newspaper that The Greens got wild cards in swimming, shooting etc but to what I know the standard of these players would not be such that they could compete on the world stage.

For a country that is mad about sports it is really a shameful moment that being so talented in many of the different sports and that also naturally talented still can not compete at the top level. It is not so that we can not do well at that level but the facilities needs to be improved across the country if better results are to seen along with a more talent and merit based approach rather than a more nepotism based approach approach.

Something has grabbed my attention!

August 7, 2008 1 comment

As I press down the keys to write my views down on this blog of mine I just remember and notice the most amazing gap that is shrinking down with every passing by moment between the mortality that we having and an abrupt end that it has regarded as “Death!”

To many this may sound the most strangest of ideas to think about death but to me it’s not that hard to think it’s like just thinking about any other thing that might come across a person in his day to day life, it might be a very absurd thing to many as I think like this but to me its like going down the lane of something that to many is know yet they are not familiar with it and for a definite reason because it has its own time at which it has to greet all of those who breath.

Now the thing that really fascinates me is what would be the feeling of a person who is about to die you might have seen many film stars portraying death scenes but its not what a person can feel like in person … hahahahahaha many at this point would think of me as someone insane but guys it’s really fascinating to know how would it feel like to die.

Whatever I think of it is that it would be something like to float into the arms of an unknown fear with all the pressure releasing out of your soul and into the air, it would be an aura of relaxation that would sweep past one with a single aim that now it’s the eternal sleep that one wish for after wandering in the wilderness of the agitation that this world carries upon and lets a pure soul to be diminished to the extend that it forgets the mare purpose of its existence.

To the extend that I can think of I would say that death is like silence as it sweeps by no one can utter or hear a thing that is being spoken to the person just like when a person tries to find peace and walks up to the solitude with nothing but silence and darkness all around him, just imagine all of this in your minds and then try to put yourself in such a situation, chills run down your spine but still your feel like if it’s the same feeling, the same aura catching upon as like a person who is on the very to die.

To an extend I still think that its not me but almost every second person that would think about the approaching pause as I’m doing now because no matter how a person behaves he has a personality to retreat to and which helps him to think better and for which he loves the solitude that really compels him for once to think about a grave change that would approach him or her one day and that is the eternal pause of death.

Boring Days & No Internship!!!

August 4, 2008 Leave a comment

Boring days, the more I wished for these summer vacations two months back the more I want them now to get over soon nothing to do here and it kills me big time. Many of my friends are onto internships all across the city but as I had planned these vacations with an internship at my cousin’s bank in Lahore it never went as planned that because of my institute. Thanks to them I could not send the required documents on time but is it all that important to intern in the vacations.

Well the obvious answer at the moment that I can give is yes it is. There is more than one reason because of which I’m saying it, for a student of business studies I guess it’s an ideal time to get used to the type of environment that you’d be working in. I still remember the first time I interned in MCB Bank. A local bank thought off as a well reputed place to work but it sucked big time and changed my view of working at a bank.

This year I was going for a bank again but for corporate financing and it’s all together a different experience and that amazing thing was going to Lahore for it but it all went the drain.

Many of my friends are doing internships at various places but the time I did it I realized that if you don’t get a stipend for it then one must not go for it. May be the experience of corporate culture may help many but yet it sucks at time. Anyways it is helpful in a way that it gives you the chance to see what you’d be doing in the future and that is the biggest insight of doing an internship.

Much Needed Rainfall

August 1, 2008 2 comments

After a dry and hot spell of summer days for the past three days finally it rained and brought some relief. The past few days were like as if someone has turned the heater on in summers, the hot weather used to sting like a bee but thanks God things got back on track.

The hot weather stings but along with that the electricity kills the remaining energy that one has but today the weather was fine as well as the electricity and it didn’t even go off once that’s nice to see lets hope it remains this way till the end of our vacations.

The rain started nicely and I was like “oh! It’s raining”, went out there and enjoyed it for about half an hour but it was really fun that half an hour. Now my whole body is aching but I’d get over it Inshallah soon.
