An efficient WAPDA

January 17, 2010 Leave a comment

For the past coupe of months our beloved Wapda has caused immense pleasure to say the least by keeping us busy all the time with their beloved load shedding and God knows what else to follow after that.

But coming to what i actually wanted to write about was the efficiency in the way Wapda has been going on with the load shedding and God they are hardly wrong with the timings, i mean one is amazed to see the punctuality with which they tend to shut the electricity off its amazing & truly its amazing that without any doubt they are the most efficient department these days 🙂

English Premier League at its best …

January 16, 2010 Leave a comment

It seems like Chelsea are determined to get the ghosts of the last 3 seasons behind them and take the English Premier League title this season and that is what one took out from their performance against Sunderland today as they totally demolished them with a huge margin. Anelka twice, Lampard twice, Cole, Ballack and Malouda socred for the blues where as from Sunderland side old Chelsea favorite Zenden and Bent scored.

Manchester United also kept their hopes alive with a win at Burnley, with goals coming from Berbatov, Ronney and Diouf. On the other side Liverpool again fell victim to a late goal from Huth against Stoke City after leading for much of the 90 minutes thanks to a goal from defender Kyrgiakos.

All eyes will be set on the Manchester City and Everton match later tonight which is of grave importance for both the sides.

What a dud …

January 16, 2010 Leave a comment

The other day while flipping through the T.v channels i came across the trailer of “The Men Who Stare at Goats”, thought that with a powerful cast (Jeff Bridges, Kevin Spacey, George Clooney, Even McGregor)that it had its going to be a mind blowing film but naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah it turned out to be a dud. But there are few instances which catch one’s imagination like

Larry Hooper:  Lieutenant Colonel Django used funds from the project’s black budget to procure prostitutes…

Bill Django: That’s a lie!

Larry Hooper: …and to get drugs for himself and his men.

Bill Django: That… well, the hooker thing is definitely a lie.

Though i think that Jeff Bridges and George Clooney has done a tremendous job and they have done justice to their roles but in totality the film lacked the extra punch that i thought it will have.

Home alone and blogging …

January 2, 2010 Leave a comment

I am blessed with this kind of opportunity very rarely when i am home alone and all the creative vibes flow into the upper story of mine :). Today i decided that its a day, that can be easily spent with blogging all day long and watching some television and relax.

Its 11:23 at the moment when i am down to write this post and with Agg TV the day is starting off, Dard-e-Tanhai by Nauman Javed was the first thing that popped on it.  With the tensions of terror mounting overall the country people are trying to find alot of different ways to counter their fears and get a life going especially the part of country where I live that is Peshawar has been mostly affected and almost paralyzed by the serge of these bombings.

Its 11:40 at the moment and Talyor Swift kind of ruined the moment with a perfect sissy song and that i zipped back and found out a movie to watch out “Uncertainty”, seems a great movie i have to search the torrents for this one for sure and Noori entered the frame with perfect timing with “Do Dil” one of my favorite song and it happens to be the first single that they had ever sung as a love Ballad.

11:55, and when i was going to settle down to watch PS: I Love You, Wapda strikes its claim and turns my attention towards them selves … wait a minute its now 11:57 and the light is back on hehehe i guess they knew i was to post against them so they let the light in :).

12:32, the last one hour has been fun to say the least, with Lilly Allen music filling in my ears and PS: I Love You on TV (MUTED), in a blanket and on to writing again is kind off lazy yet fun and with that i feel for the first time the hungry mice running around in my tummy. Better go and fetch something to eat :).

12:54, Nothing more interesting about it anymore :), yet i am trying to atleast do something more and thats when i stumbled upon Star One and Laughter Kai Phatkai its comedy was good a sophisticated a well written for the first time by Sudhesh and again zipping and zapping through the channels for something good and **Tuwadah** Cricket is on Big Bash Tournament, the Aussie domestic T20 Tournament New South Wales Vs Victoria ahem ahem will be fun to watch.

6:51 and its high time to put an end to this post because nothing good is happening anymore today … 🙂
