The Why’s and what’s!

August 29, 2010 Leave a comment

It’s been some time now that a constant surge of why’s and what’s have been ringing in my head about a lot of issues and it’s long before I get the answer to any of those. Most of the why’s and what’s are concerned with the current state of situation that is prevailing for the last couple of years, in fact three to be exact but during the last one and half it has gathered pace.
First and foremost among this has been related to the militant insurgency and the war of terror that has been mobilized for the better part of this decade as for some it’s just one or two years old but in fact Pakistan has been at the battlefront since the American invasion of Afghanistan back in 2001. It has spread slow and gradually to most parts of our beloved home land and gave us some intense moments too during the guerilla warfare of Swat and its aftermath especially on Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa, the Talibanization in Southern Punjab and the deteriorating situation of Baluchistan.
Secondly, there are a lot of why’s and what’s that can be bombarded upon the fragile and self centered political leadership (as if we have any) that we are blessed with which I believe frankly speaking is on a mission to suck out the last ounce of blood from the moral-less and conscienceless nation that we have turned into like a leech.
Lastly, the ever deteriorating social balance of Pakistan may it be our vulnerability to the natural catastrophes’ like the earth quakes of 2005 or the recent floods or social altercations like the Sialkot Incident or the demise of sports i.e. falling standards of hockey and squash which we were once champions or the clear failure of cricket to politics, grouping and now match fixing for some spot fixing.
These are just a few of the aspects of these why’s and what’s that are hampering us and eating away the roots of our bear sovereignty and challenging us on every possible step of life but one thing is for sure we’re far from having answers to these why’s and what’s.
God bless Pakistan.

I don’t feel proud

Alot has been happening all around the country lately especially in Frontier part, the recent blast at PC or the firing one of the most sensitive area here in Peshawar has really changed the mind set of people here and they once a living and fun seeking crowd are now doing their best not to indulge in those fun seeking activities.

Alas its really shocking to be here in Peshawar as the situation has changed so dramatically and most of us knew that is was just a matter of time and it was slowly coming over …

The most affected among the crowd has been the young generation whoes most of recreation activities have been crubbed and now they most reside to the activities that they may find conventient for themselves and not wandering off here and there in search of them. It is really a sorry state to see my country, my homeland and my province in grave danger and that i can not do much about it and sit home watching situation worsten day by day … i don’t feel proud as a son of this motherland at the moment!

Professionalism Ethics!

April 23, 2009 Leave a comment

I had a great deal of learning in the past few weeks about the dirty poilitics that is played when you enter into the professional phase of life. I am using the word politics because i have come across alot of very dim-witted situations which at times compelled me to lose temper to a great exnted but had to control my self.

A constant question that has been lingering in my mind is that why do we lack Professional Ethics, it has really disturbed me alot becuase i think that people in this country have alot of potential but they lack the proper professional ethics to take themselves to the next level. The main reason of that is we all the time think how can we pull others out of the position they are in and get it our selves, come on guys if he\she is there one day you’ll be there too but tend to get there on your hard work rather than decietful acts.

Confused Youth Part 2

April 16, 2009 Leave a comment

The paradigms of today’s youth starts from getting rid of these educational criteria and ends out at luxury car, home and life happily ever after. Many of us agree that youth is going to change the scenario but how and when? History has proved that whenever a revolution comes, it starts from an idea.

There is no doubt that the commitment and dedication of the idea-carries plays a central role in the pursuit. Peace, hunger, economics, health and many others are the problems that have surrounded the global village. Each time we think of solving this crisis we remember youth as the forwards of this play. To make it happen, we all need to search and struggle and find those thoughts and ideas that will bring the change. But, the important thing that must be considered in this pursuit is critical analysis. Until and unless an idea is not rational and tranquil, it is useless to work for.

Of course study of history, religion, politics and sociology is of almost important. The day-by-day conflicts in thought and debate is also due to the fact that we know many things but we don’t know everything. I hope the pursuit to know and critical evaluation of the findings is going to change the scenario.

Confused Youth Part 1

April 14, 2009 4 comments

How many of us know the term “ideology”? And how many of us know the essence of this term; what exactly does its definition mean? The answers to these and many other questions clearly tell the number of people knowing and even thinking about it. With due respect, but I have seen many of my elders who are confused in their thoughts.

Similarly the youth also donot have a clear focal point and there could be many reasons to it including that of generation gap. The youth does not have a clear vision of their lives and careers. Infact, the basic question that used to be asked regarding purpose of life are now rarely reported. Is it deliberately done or are we accountable for this?

The immature youth mind tries solving conflicts that results in temporary solutions, henceforth leading to frustration, despair and intolerance. Yes, if we are talking about social and economic security, then the elite class is out of the debate, but, what about the middle and lower classes? Sometimes this complex seems to be a gift given by our forefathers, maybe because of their irresponsible attitude at times when they were called the youth.

Now obviously we have to bear the cost. Would it be fair that next generation live in the mess we are living in…? Even at this age the respectful figures of the society aren’t fulfilling the duty. It is too far to discuss which ideology or thought is better, at least, we should start thinking about it.

Amazingly Strange Facts about Pakistan

Today morning i got a text on my cell and was amazed to read the facts that were mentioned in it. The text goes like,

Pakistan has the 5ht largest Gold mine, 7th lartgest Copper mine, still begging from IMF? 7th with nuclear bomb, 6th largest army, still silent on drone attacks? 11th largest wheat producer, 12th largest rice producer, still 40% hardly get enough food to eat … THINK? “Can Pakistan be a world player today?”

There are some amazing facts there i don’t know about the validation of a few in between here but some are genuinely true facts, yet we have failed miserably in the short 62 years history of our till the present date. A lot can be attributed to being the reasons of this failure but i would like people to get up from the miserable sleep they are in so that we can move this country forward in the right direction.

April Fool’s Day

I woke up at the sound of the most beloved nuisense in my life, don’t think much I’m talking about my mobile phone at about 2:30 A.M (please people don’t think it was my gf for God sake change your vague thinking for a while ) to see a text from one of my classmates at my university and the abstract of the text was “Our university has been hit by rockets”. An interesting thought 🙂

I tried to open my eyes to read it more carefully untill i struck the idea to sleep on it because it was 1st April … again 😦

Many people observe this day by playing practical jokes on their friends as per definition of wikipedia because of which it is also known as All Fools Day but yet there is history that tells us not to carry out these acts on this day but you would think at the moment who cares!

What i think is no matter what past is associated with it if someone wants to play pranks on this day those pranks should be in limits so as not to harm any emotions or harm in any other sense is done to the person on whom the prank is being played. I’m saying it because my father told me a scenario from his heydays when he was in Pakistan Army, when few of his colleagues tried to play prank on one of the officer which resulted in the death of that officer. This simply underlines a fact that fun should never be at the cost of others!

So better be safe while doing anything in regard to make a bunny out of someone.

Spotlights!

March 10, 2009 Leave a comment

At times we stand at the point of life where we think that we’re in the spotlight, it is I that would be doing most of the things and would be in the lead followed by many and this feeling to be followed by many gives us a sense of power.

But as spidi’s uncle Ben says “With great powers comes great responsibilities”, is that what we forget when we have this spotlight upon us.  Pondering over it, yes you should i mean if there is a bit of concience left in a person he or she would definitely think about it.

Moreover we as a  Pakistani nation should think about it and think about it really fast that those idiotic personnel that we have elected to govern us or i must say that they themselves have elected theirselves not to govern us but to rule us, Do they deserve the spotlight of power?

Life time relationships give life time lessons

October 21, 2008 2 comments

Read this line while chatting to a friend of mine on msn, “Life time relationships give life time lessons”. A lot went through my mind instantly when I read this line and it was like if something really important had flashed in front of my eyes, and the first thing that hit me was that many people come into your life for specific reasons, some beautiful seasons or at times they come into your life to stay for ever.

When ever it becomes clear that for what it is that the person has specifically come into your life you then take steps in accordance with that like if someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a stroke of luck and they are. They are there for the rationale that you need them to be. Then, without any transgression on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to a conclusion.

Some people come into your life for a season, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real but only for a season.

Lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

Cultures and festivals still binds us along …

October 18, 2008 Leave a comment

Cultures and festivals still binds us along was the thought that came into my mind when today I was at wedding ceremony of one of my most beloved cousin. It was not a very out and out vibrant wedding, the number of people was kind off limited just to first cousins but for those few hours none of them were blabbering about oh this and oh that crap but were just united for a single goal to make the event a colorful occasion.

Being a Pathan I’m proud of the rich culture that we possess and I would like to state it here that these festivals that are the part of this rich culture not only help us to unite with each other but at times it even kills off the little or so hostility we posses (which happens in many of the families).

But I was really damn happy about how the things went today and would say once more that these festivals are still a cornerstone for keeping most of the relations in tact and really gives them the meaning that we all have forgotten by one way or another.
