Fedup of Downloading, on to blogging :)

October 30, 2008 Leave a comment

From the day I had got the DSL I have lost interest for download music and movies, there were days when I used to sit down to download a song for about 4 MB on the dial up connection and if the connection was good it used to take 35 to 40 minutes! Now it only takes a minute to the most.

This would make you wonder at a high download speed like this has caused me to lose my interest in the downloading lol it is because of the heavy downloading I have done in the recent past and thanks to torrents that are available now I can virtually have what I want on the entertainment front.

This helped me download and watch all the movies I had missed or I was waiting to watch and now there is nothing to do, I started blogging some while back and now I use it only for that so I guess the usage of net has increased because of that and along with a project that I am working on with SERG (Security Engineering Research Group).

Techology & Business

October 26, 2008 Leave a comment

Importance of technology can never be denied in any field of work, using better technology not only cuts the costs by a huge margin and saves you time, it also enables one to keep pace with the modern and more advanced standards. A lot has been said about the utility of technology in regard to businesses and lately it has been unanimously concluded that it has great importance and a key role to play in not one but many business sectors.

The importance of technology can not be denied, one can not limit its usage to a single particular field. Taking the example of my friend’s father who is building a motorcycle manufacturing plant he said the other day when I was visiting him and I quote,

“Technology has really made a big difference, manufacturing to the accounting entries it has revolutionized the whole business scenario. Even if we take the very local market we would find that the most quality things manufactured these days not only would be made by a more better and advanced machinery but they would be proving less costly than others present in the market for the manufacturer”.

If one looks at this very simple statement by him we would see that technology’s presence is undeniable, its usages ranges from the very core basics to the more complicated matters in the business world. May it be the cut in the costs or improving the quality of the product we are offering it really makes a huge difference.

My Friends (An undeniable luxary)

October 24, 2008 2 comments

Friends always remind one of the most important asset and the most prized position that one has through his life time and so do I. I might not always tell them the ways they complete my personality but they do and they complete me a big time.

I being person with a nature that always led me conclude that I’m just nothing more than a civilized barbarian, always thought that friends are there for just to pass time with but at times they give better insight on many situations to you than anyone can give you because they know you better than the way we know ourselves.

Many times I have been dragged out of some really serious situations by my friends but one must also remember it that not every friend can be your best friend by it I mean that not with every second friend you should share things. I said it because many times people come into our life as friends but do more damage than what an actual enemy would do but what so ever friends are and they remain very integral part of one’s life including me.

Life time relationships give life time lessons

October 21, 2008 2 comments

Read this line while chatting to a friend of mine on msn, “Life time relationships give life time lessons”. A lot went through my mind instantly when I read this line and it was like if something really important had flashed in front of my eyes, and the first thing that hit me was that many people come into your life for specific reasons, some beautiful seasons or at times they come into your life to stay for ever.

When ever it becomes clear that for what it is that the person has specifically come into your life you then take steps in accordance with that like if someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a stroke of luck and they are. They are there for the rationale that you need them to be. Then, without any transgression on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to a conclusion.

Some people come into your life for a season, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real but only for a season.

Lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It rained goals today

October 18, 2008 Leave a comment

It looked as if goals were raining today in the Barclays Premier League as the big guns really pulled on the goal scoring shoes and hammered the opponents like hell, Chelsea won 5-0, Manchester United won 4-0 and Arsenal (Whom I support go go gunners) won 3-1.

It was a great day overall for football fans and the way the matches were played they were simply awesome but the most exciting match was when Liverpool came from behind and won 3-2. It has become a habit of them to come from behind but let’s see till when their season stays on a good note.

Cultures and festivals still binds us along …

October 18, 2008 Leave a comment

Cultures and festivals still binds us along was the thought that came into my mind when today I was at wedding ceremony of one of my most beloved cousin. It was not a very out and out vibrant wedding, the number of people was kind off limited just to first cousins but for those few hours none of them were blabbering about oh this and oh that crap but were just united for a single goal to make the event a colorful occasion.

Being a Pathan I’m proud of the rich culture that we possess and I would like to state it here that these festivals that are the part of this rich culture not only help us to unite with each other but at times it even kills off the little or so hostility we posses (which happens in many of the families).

But I was really damn happy about how the things went today and would say once more that these festivals are still a cornerstone for keeping most of the relations in tact and really gives them the meaning that we all have forgotten by one way or another.

Where is Pakistan heading economically and politically?

October 16, 2008 Leave a comment

Sixty-one years and still we are in a country that needs to find the right set of leaders, to stand on its own feet and to get the ailing economy to stand on some solid grounds. Looking back at the history we would find that very short span of time can be seen as prosperous period for this country with such diverse and blessed resources.

But the situation that is prevailing in the country at the moment, the falling value of rupee, the falling economy and the constant threat of extremism has even made the things more worst then ever and now a new thing is adding up in the shape of power shortage. Post MUSH administration things are going from bad to worst the prices and soaring to new heights, the inflation entered to double digits and the oil prices went bizarre even though they fell in the global markets sometime back.

Even with the coming of Zardari into power has not put any of these problems on hold but even made things more vulnerable. With the global market dip and the miserable falling of the world financial position we can not expect the things to change soon and can just wish that Pakistan can head to a safer position economically and politically.
