The Great Chicken Hunt :)

April 26, 2009 Leave a comment

I still remember the days when my father retired from army and wecame from Kamra airbase straight to my village it was a new adventure sort off situation for me in those days with the 360 degree change in the environment and people.

One of the most interesting things back those days was raising chicken and playing with my uncle’s dog named Jack, it developed my love for keeping chicken and dogs back then. Now why did i blabbered about all this because in the morning i woke up with my mom yelling at me to get up as the Crooker and Chicken had wandered off … 🙂

With my eyes half open i could not do anything else but to get up and look for them in the neighbourhood and cursing the fact that what does keeping them mean if you live in the city but what can one say as it is my mom’s favorite past time lolx :).

After a tiresome hunt of about 35 minutes i finally located and brought both of them back to home and putting an end to their extra ordinary honeymoon extravaganza lolx

Professionalism Ethics!

April 23, 2009 Leave a comment

I had a great deal of learning in the past few weeks about the dirty poilitics that is played when you enter into the professional phase of life. I am using the word politics because i have come across alot of very dim-witted situations which at times compelled me to lose temper to a great exnted but had to control my self.

A constant question that has been lingering in my mind is that why do we lack Professional Ethics, it has really disturbed me alot becuase i think that people in this country have alot of potential but they lack the proper professional ethics to take themselves to the next level. The main reason of that is we all the time think how can we pull others out of the position they are in and get it our selves, come on guys if he\she is there one day you’ll be there too but tend to get there on your hard work rather than decietful acts.

Afridi Assaults Oz at Dubai

April 22, 2009 Leave a comment

The day Pakistan cricket got back into business after the Lahore Incident it was none other than BOOM BOOM AFRIDI who got his right game shoes on. He turned a match that was a start of many things in a memory that he would cherish certainly.

Australia Won the toss on a batting friendly wicket at the newly built Dubai Cricket Stadium which was holding its first One-Day international and had a sound start but could not muster the spin of Afridi and were out for a mere 168 in 38.5 over which Pakistani’s achieved with four wickets in hand and again with the bat Afridi had a quick fire innings rounding off a complete match performance for his team.

Times have changed truely

April 19, 2009 Leave a comment

beer-beggar Times have changed truly on a scale that one could not have thought of a few years back. I was kind of shocked to see … no i must say to see and hear a unique kind of begging beseech by a beggar i came across in the market today. It was a new and unique beseech that he was having, it really got my attention.

These days we have seen beggars refusing to financial aid that is less by their standards like one day one of my cousins was talking, he said that he gave a beggar Rs. 20 note and the beggar refused to take it because he wanted Rs. 50 :), amazingly what happened today is even more interesting.

By no means you’ll ever think a beggar would beseech so boldly for 1.5 liters PEPSI :D. When i first heard what the beggar was asking for it, it kind of felt little amusing i mean the idea of begging for PEPSI come on :S but later on it really infuriated me a lot because it depicts on a small level we as a nation are really getting dependent on such kind off necessities that we can not afford yet we crave for them so badly that we’re even ready to beg for them from people who have malicious intentions towards us.

Confused Youth Part 2

April 16, 2009 Leave a comment

The paradigms of today’s youth starts from getting rid of these educational criteria and ends out at luxury car, home and life happily ever after. Many of us agree that youth is going to change the scenario but how and when? History has proved that whenever a revolution comes, it starts from an idea.

There is no doubt that the commitment and dedication of the idea-carries plays a central role in the pursuit. Peace, hunger, economics, health and many others are the problems that have surrounded the global village. Each time we think of solving this crisis we remember youth as the forwards of this play. To make it happen, we all need to search and struggle and find those thoughts and ideas that will bring the change. But, the important thing that must be considered in this pursuit is critical analysis. Until and unless an idea is not rational and tranquil, it is useless to work for.

Of course study of history, religion, politics and sociology is of almost important. The day-by-day conflicts in thought and debate is also due to the fact that we know many things but we don’t know everything. I hope the pursuit to know and critical evaluation of the findings is going to change the scenario.

Gunners to face the Red Devils in Champians League Semi’s

April 16, 2009 Leave a comment

Yestreday the final nail in the coffin of Villa Real was hit in by Van Persie with the third goal from the plenty after Wilcott was brought down and that gave them the ever green match against the Red Devils for the semi-final match in the Champians League.

It will be interesting to see both the team lock horns in the semi-finals, being a gunner i would be hooting for Arsenal but it does not mean i’m under estimating the Red Devils. Injuries had made the season start miserable and again it is haunting Gunners again but i hope that they would come out from that and put the Red Devils to sleep this season.

Confused Youth Part 1

April 14, 2009 4 comments

How many of us know the term “ideology”? And how many of us know the essence of this term; what exactly does its definition mean? The answers to these and many other questions clearly tell the number of people knowing and even thinking about it. With due respect, but I have seen many of my elders who are confused in their thoughts.

Similarly the youth also donot have a clear focal point and there could be many reasons to it including that of generation gap. The youth does not have a clear vision of their lives and careers. Infact, the basic question that used to be asked regarding purpose of life are now rarely reported. Is it deliberately done or are we accountable for this?

The immature youth mind tries solving conflicts that results in temporary solutions, henceforth leading to frustration, despair and intolerance. Yes, if we are talking about social and economic security, then the elite class is out of the debate, but, what about the middle and lower classes? Sometimes this complex seems to be a gift given by our forefathers, maybe because of their irresponsible attitude at times when they were called the youth.

Now obviously we have to bear the cost. Would it be fair that next generation live in the mess we are living in…? Even at this age the respectful figures of the society aren’t fulfilling the duty. It is too far to discuss which ideology or thought is better, at least, we should start thinking about it.

Amazingly Strange Facts about Pakistan

Today morning i got a text on my cell and was amazed to read the facts that were mentioned in it. The text goes like,

Pakistan has the 5ht largest Gold mine, 7th lartgest Copper mine, still begging from IMF? 7th with nuclear bomb, 6th largest army, still silent on drone attacks? 11th largest wheat producer, 12th largest rice producer, still 40% hardly get enough food to eat … THINK? “Can Pakistan be a world player today?”

There are some amazing facts there i don’t know about the validation of a few in between here but some are genuinely true facts, yet we have failed miserably in the short 62 years history of our till the present date. A lot can be attributed to being the reasons of this failure but i would like people to get up from the miserable sleep they are in so that we can move this country forward in the right direction.

Gunners doing it again and in style!

Arsenal has been gaining momentum over the past few weeks in the Barclays Premier League which has enabled them to rise to the Champians League pot in the table and that showed again today with a 2- 0 win over Manchester City.

It was a return game for Adebayor along with Fabrigas who assited him with the first goal and was a great one too. Adebayor rounded up a perfect game with two good goals. The only downside was Walcott sitting on the bench at end of the game with an icebag on the knee but we’re keeping the fingers cross he is available for the Villa Real Game in the champians league.

Being a Gunner fan its awesome news that at last the ball slinging Gunners are back on track hail Winger!
